My Backyard Bliss

I’ve been sitting in my backyard listening to the symphony of the beautiful birds, including the woodpecker drummer.

The momma and baby deer came by to have a snack.

The faint scent of magnolias, the cool breeze that refreshes every few minutes, blue sky, white clouds….

Get outside! Away from computers and cell phones, ipads and pods, television and movies, and go see what’s happening outside.

If you don’t have a backyard like this, find a place to go and soak in God’s creation. It’s like a cleansing shower for the brain.

My Father has created a wonderful world…for me and for YOU.

Go enjoy!

The Great Exchange

By Judy A. Pink

Hands

Isaiah 61: 1-2

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

Isaiah prophesied this amazing word 700 years before the birth of Jesus of Nazareth. Then, Jesus stood up in the temple, read this passage and declared that He was the fulfillment of it that day. He is the only person in human history who qualifies to speak that of Himself.

This word spoken by the prophet Isaiah as a future promise and fulfilled in Yeshua as a finished work, is one that I call, “The Great Exchange”. This is not just a nice bible passage to be read and passed over. This is the essence of what our precious Lord and Savior offers to “whosoever will”.

He says,

1.  You give Me your ashes and I’ll give you beauty.

We may not actually put ashes on our heads these days, although some still do, but because of train wrecks in our lives, whether of our own making or not, many people, in and out of the church, might as well have a big ole bucket of ashes on their heads. I’ve been there when I felt as if I were carrying on my back a load of sorrow, regret, loss, shame, and a sense of worthlessness. But, as the song says… When Jesus Comes….You’ll go from, ” You’re not looking very good, honey.” to “Shining in the light of His love!”  He says, “I will give you a beautiful headdress, a crown, a tiara.”  People will look at you and say, “Wow, what’s that’s crown for? ” And you’ll say, ” It’s for casting at His feet”.

2.  Give Me your mourning and I’ll give you the oil of joy.

Mourning can be more than grief over the death of a loved one. Sometimes we mourn over losses in ours lives, loss of years gone by, lost opportunity, loss of friends and relationships, lost marriages, lost possessions.

The Lord wants to pour oil on your head and anoint you with joy. Not just “a little dab’ll do ya”, but the whole jar of the oil of gladness right over your head, dripping all over you! This that I speak of is a spiritual thing! It cannot be accomplished by trying to turn over a new leaf, trying to do better, etc.

If the devil ever gets his fangs of depression into you, you are hard pressed to break out of that. But, in one instant, the Spirit of God can set you free! You will go from mourning to dancing, from despair to delight, from depression to deliverance!

3.  Give to Me your spirit of heaviness and I’ll give you a garment of praise.

It IS possible to experience an exchange in an instant that transforms your life…from heaviness to praise! And I’m not talking about a temporary emotional fix that wears off later on. It’s a work of the Person of the Holy Spirit; not something we can conjure up.

Now I ask you, Where else can you get a tradeoff like this?

If you are one who needs to encounter for the first time the One who can give you this “Great  Exchange”, I encourage you to set aside time to go before Him, with all of your heart. You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:13)

If you have never come to know Him, go into a room, find a place, sit down, quiet your mind, discipline your thoughts, turn your heart toward Him, and call upon Him. His name is Jesus. Oh, and don’t stop until you have met Him. Whether it’s hours or days or weeks, it’s worth the investment of your time to reap the reward of eternal life. The ROI is outta this world! Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.” (Isaiah 55:6)

Religion without relationship (with Him) is dead.  So many are trying to have an understanding of God through only an intellectual process. God is supernatural and He acts in a supernatural way. If you don’t start with that premise, you are missing the boat altogether.

Listen, He has already done what He intended to do. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” (John 3:16, 17) But whoops! Wait a minute… There’s this verse: “Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” (John 3:18)  And what about verse 19 and 20? Oh, just go ahead and read the whole chapter!

He’s not the poor Jesus standing outside the door, hoping and praying that you will give Him the time of day. We are talking about The One who created you (and everything else ) and gave you life and holds your very breath in His hand.  “And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or know, but the God in whose hand is your breath, and whose are all your ways, you have not honored.” (Daniel 5:23)

So, you just might want to acknowledge your “undoneness” in His Holy Presence and go ahead and bow before Him. Let go of the pride that separates you from Him and slay the arrogance that pretends to know something. Lay it all down at His feet, pour out your heart to Him, and please do remember to listen for Him to speak. In His Presence, you will find all that you could ever need or desire. You’ll take a drink of a fresh new wine that satisfies. I promise you…it does a body good!

“…to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness” Isaiah 61:3

Judy will speak about “The Great Exchange.” Judy was born again in a Baptist Church in 1973.

At age 7, she had lost her father to cancer, and days after her 18th birthday, her mother succumbed to cancer as well. She obeyed the voice of the Lord to break the curse of cancer off her life and felt the power of God go through her body and the symptoms never returned.

She has been active in Aglow at both the local and state board levels for over 10 years. She has served in leadership for various ministry boards, and has ministered in Russia, Israel, Turkey, and Greece. In 2010, after being single for ten years, she married and works with Michael Pink. Michael Pink Innovations consults for many businesses, revealing God’s ways as they apply to business. She is blessed with knowledge of the word of God and prophetic anointing; the Lord uses her in the gifts of the Spirit with boldness. Her passion is to see the lost saved and to minister life to God’s people. Please invite the unsaved and those who need physical healing.

Without a doubt, the most creative artist, illustrator I have ever met is Mark Herron. I cannot recommend him highly enough. With clients like Delta Airlines, Rush Limbaugh, Rusty Humphries and yours truly, he is a proven entity with integrity and skill. If you need or want any illustration or graphic work done, email him at mrherron.com OR visit his Facebook page.

He just completed an illustrated retelling of “Twas the Night Before Christmas” (as told by the keeper of the Bethlehem Inn) which is his humble attempt to bring the focus back to Christ, while giving kudos to our Jewish brothers and sisters. This, like all of his books are exceedingly well written and illustrated, while carrying a very serious and important message. This is a must read.
Merry Christmas to all.

What Shall We Do?

By Judy Ann Pink
The writer of Hebrews asks, “How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?” Our country and our world is reeling with uncertainty. Men’s hearts are failing them for fear.

Many people don’t know who to trust anymore. Remember the day when Americans felt that, by and large, we could trust our political leaders to do what was right?  Well, maybe that was naive, even then, but now the darkness has been brought to light and where do we stand?  We stand on shaky ground, for sure, if we are trusting in government.
It seems that the days are racing toward more and more confusion. Those who do not acknowledge The Righteous One do evil and call it good. Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”  Isaiah 5:20.

Violence and moral decay have come in like a flood. Our children don’t get the chance to experience the joy and purity of childhood. They are inundated with the evils of this world all around them.
So, Christian, what can we do? Work to increase His Kingdom! How? How do we increase the Kingdom influence? By increasing the numbers of citizens of the Kingdom! If we want our nation to be more righteous, we need more people to be made righteous.
Only one way….only one answer. God’s plan.  Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15

“Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:  teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.”  Matthew 28:19, 20

It’s Testimony Time!

By Judy Ann Pink

My intention in this ongoing blog will be to lift up the name of Jesus, proclaim His word, and hopefully be a blessing to someone who reads it.

What is on my mind, and in my heart today to share with the saints of God and, for that matter, anyone? There are so many opinions about God…who He is, what He does and what we can believe about His will.

How do we, in the year 2013, even know there is a God? Well, I can tell you without reservation, that He is real. He is not a figment of my “religious” imagination. If anyone will become desperate enough to want to know Him, He will not disappoint.

I will never forget the day I was born again in a Baptist church in December of 1973. The preacher preached and I responded to the invitation to be saved by going forward to the altar. I did not know at the time what that was all about, but I was aware that God was calling and I was responding. I was experiencing the most mighty miracle of being transformed in an instant.

My sins were washed away as I chose to give my life to Jesus Christ. I physically felt the weight lifted off me and I felt lighter. As all this was happening, this encounter with a living God, the people in the church told me to sit down and fill out a form. LOL. That was their method. No problem. I did so, as I was trembling and quietly crying. Later that day, after witnessing to my neighbor about what had happened, I knelt down beside my bed and prayed that a headache that I had would go away. I knew nothing of healing. When I prayed, it left instantly.

I have had so many experiences with the Lord since then. He is not a distant God that requires some religious system for us to communicate with Him. It’s not a belief system. It’s a personal relationship. If you are born of the Spirit, you are alive unto God. You will know Him, you’ll have a desire for the things of God and His word will be alive to you. I remember being shocked at how suddenly I could read the bible and understand it. If you aren’t experiencing these things, seek Him…just pray and surrender your heart to Him. It’s not something to be afraid of. He’s your Father and He has always loved you. I can tell you that you will never regret it. In fact, you will realize that you have just come alive and your life will never be the same.

I went back to church that night and was baptized in water. I will never forget that glorious day. That was the start of my journey with my Lord Jesus.

What about you? I would love to hear your story of salvation, the greatest miracle of all.

C’mon..it’s testimony time!

Finding Joy

By Judy Ann Pink
Worship Photo
This was me yesterday, while I was praying for God’s people, a song coming from my spirit like this:
“You’ll find your joy in the presence of the Lord…”

A lot of people know what it’s like to worship God with abandonment, but if you’ve never experienced that, try it sometime…alone in your bedroom, or in the bathroom or where ever you are. Just lift your hands to Him and sing a song of worship or talk to Him from your heart.

I remember the first time that I lifted my hands to the Lord about 35 years ago. I was timid to do it, a little embarrassed, but then what freedom! Whether or not you know it, you belong to Him and when you find the joy of worshipping freely, you’ll never be the same!
Try it, you’ll like it! I promise.

Ps. 134:2  Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the LORD.

Ps 16:11
You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. — feeling happy.

The Wind Of Change Is Blowing

By Judy Ann Pink

IMG_1330

Do not resist the Spirit of God as He brings forth change.

For I did not create you to exist only in this small environment. See yourself larger. Enlarge your vision.  I created you to be the light of the world, the salt of the earth.

Your purpose is not only to serve Me in this place, but to grow up into all that I have provided for you through my son, Jesus, the Christ.

Look around you… See? There’s the harvest … Out there! Do not be content only with being the blessed ones, but as freely as you have received, freely give. I did not give you the gift of eternal life to hoard it, to keep it only to yourself, or to only share it with a few.  You are to share the good news of the gospel with every creature until the knowledge of the glory of God covers the earth as the waters cover the sea.

Set your sights on things above. Know that I desire that no one should perish.  Know your place in the great commission.  Put on the full armor of God and GO into the battle.

For those who will obey My voice, there are great exploits for you to accomplish. It is by faith ONLY, says the Lord. If you think that you have to make the way, then you don’t know My ways. Stop your small thinking and just trust Me as I lead you. Let Me make the way.

For I would enlarge even YOUR house, says the Lord! Your dwelling is not big enough. I hear the Lord saying…Blow out the walls or MOVE, but don’t remain in a place spiritually or physically where God cannot expand you.

The stress of lack, of not having enough is released from you this day!  I, the Lord, am the God of MORE than enough! Your job is to trust and obey, move when I move, and let the wind of change take you into your destiny.
