Go Thou And Do Likewise

My reply to a ministry from another country talking about how God is planning to judge America with a nuke:

What should Christians do for America? How about interceding? How about praying that God will intervene? Read the story of Sodom and of God’s responses to Abraham when he asked…Will you not destroy it for the sake of..what did God say back to him??

How about Christians getting out of their religious, pious, condescending, “I hope God sends a nuke to America, so I can be proven right” attitudes, and PRAY! Do you pray will all your heart for God to intervene in America as well as your own wicked, socialists nations? How about going into the marketplace, even politics, and actually doing something?

What is wrong with America? Could it be that Christians, Christian leaders for, lo, too many years, have abdicated their leadership in society to the ungodly? “Let’s just build our little Christian kingdoms, fight each other, and complain about how the wicked rule.” It is sickening to me how weak and impotent the church is.

Here is an example of someone doing something to effect change:       One group of Christian warriors, centerformedicalprogress.org, led by a young man, David Daleidin, worked for 2 years infiltrating Planned Parenthood to obtain videos exposing the evil that’s been going on for years. Because of his group’s work, we have a chance to see a change in the abortion industry. Thank God for them! They have done something that apparently the entire Christian community in America had no power to do since 1973. These are people I want to give tithes and offerings to.

Where are the fighting men, and women, in God’s ARMY??? I have been born again, Spirit filled since the 70’s. I for one, have had it with doing nothing Churchianity.

A few months ago, a good number of Christians from Australia fasted and prayed for America. That was like cool water on a hot day.

America is in pain. America is right now the certain man that fell among thieves in Luke 10. Who will be the good Samaritan to us in our time of need? Will you pass by and prophecy death to us, or will you pour in the oil and wine by praying with love and compassion?

“Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
And he said, He that shewed mercy on him.

Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.” Luke 10:36,37

I Want To Know…Is There Not A Cause?

I want to know. Where are the voices of Christian leaders in America speaking out against the chaos that is going on?

What a crying shame to hear (a few months ago) the conservative news anchors on Fox News lamenting the fact that they have very few Christian leaders who are willing to speak out. I mean, it’s pathetic!

The Lord gave us this country and we, as citizens, have a responsibility to preserve our freedoms. For a long time, I have been so frustrated with Christian leaders: those who have a platform, who can speak to their sphere of influence and be heard. It seems like their message is “church as usual”. It really does come across as irrelevant to me. It’s like the house is burning down and they preach quietly and calmly on messages we heard 30 years ago, or worse, on some new found greasy grace that will slide their listeners right into hell without ever knowing Jesus.

I am so grateful for men like Franklin Graham and Jonathan Cahn calling people, and the nation,  to repentance. Others like Rodney Howard Browne, who is not hesitant to speak the truth and is taking it to the streets, including Washington D.C.! Gutsy leaders who are sounding the alarm and trying to do something about what is going on all around us. I have watched, listened to, and read what these men are saying. Thank God for them!

a man makes his demands known by speaking loudly through a megaphone and pointing his finger directly at YOU THE VIEWER with focus on his finger and hand

I am sure there are pastors and Christian leaders that I don’t know who are speaking out, but I am talking about the ones who have the big platforms to be heard nationally. The mega churches and well known pastors/leaders who could just open their mouths and speak to thousands. Things being done by the current administration are just wrong, no matter what political party you belong to. That is not to say that any political party is holy. Far from it. BUT, Christians who support a President and a party who seem hell bent on weakening our country, morally and militarily, are simply choosing to turn a blind eye to the truth. Don’t get me started on the big church pastors who led their congregations to vote for someone who so obviously stood against the word of God, and they did so because of his skin color! You, sirs, are in part responsible for the degrading of our nation., including the racial chaos that has ensued.

Where are the prophets who dare to speak, “Thus saith the Lord” to the king? And not just to the king, but to the people. Why isn’t someone speaking clearly about the sins of our society? The false statement we hear so much, “You’re not supposed to judge”…blah blah blah..is spoken by people who don’t have a clue about what they are saying. There is such an ignorance of the word of God in this country, along with an ignorance…period, thanks to our secular, liberal, “progressive” (not progressive at all) educational system.

I see this picture: America is teetering on the edge of falling into the abyss, never to be recovered. If someone thinks that is extreme, then they are blind and deaf. I personally think that the reason we are in this mess is because the church abdicated her role in our society and allowed the secularists to take over, while we enjoyed our little meetings. Well, that’s OVER now. Time to get serious, people. You know those songs we sing about being the army of the Lord? That means we have to toughen up and get ready to fight!

Where is Moses who stood up for God’s people and said,”Let My people go!” Christians are being persecuted, their freedoms stolen in this country, and in many places in our world, they are being martyred, along with many others who are so unfortunate to live in a land ruled by evil. While we watch and shake our heads, and are shocked…until the next time.

Who remembers the protests against abortion, when people would block the entrance to the death clinics, and many were arrested multiple times. Remember when we marched and carried signs? Then, someone said that this was not the Christian way. We should just pray. That was over almost 30 years ago.Wonder how many body parts have been sold since then?

Lest I am misunderstood, let me say I believe that prayer is the most powerful force on earth. There are many types of prayer. One of those is intercession. God came down to tell Abraham that He was going to destroy the evil cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and He wanted Abraham to know before He did it. Abraham dared to stand before the Lord and ask that He spare the cities because of the righteous. The Lord agreed to every request that Abraham made. But, Abraham stopped asking at 10. If there were 10 righteous, God agreed to not destroy them. If you have never read the story, please do. It is very descriptive. Read it in Genesis 18 and 19.

Also, Moses interceded and God changed his mind about destroying the Israelites when they rebelled. He was so angry, He was just going to wipe them out and start over with Moses. But, Moses pleaded with Him not to do it, because he said, the Egyptians would talk bad about Him. Also, He said, ” Remember Your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and the promises You made to them.”    So, the Lord changed His mind and did not destroy them. Prayer is powerful!

The Lord deals with nations. In Jeremiah 18, this is what He says, “If at any time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down and destroyed, and if that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent and not inflict on it the disaster I had planned. And if at another time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be built up and planted, and if it does evil in my sight and does not obey me, then I will reconsider the good I had intended to do for it.”

I wish I could  just read my bible, pray, and when I use social media, I could just share a little scripture once in a while. Then I could live in La La land like some people do. Well, it just doesn’t happen. Maybe I don’t accomplish much by what I do, but it’s what I can do with what I have. I certainly do not believe that God’s men and women are supposed to stay out of the fight and just stay in the church building, and not get their holy little hands soiled. The devil is all for that!

I know that if all people who love America would stand up and be counted, we could put down this evil that is trying to destroy our country. We need our Moses. We need our David. This is the time to call the army to attention!

HOWEVER,  we the people can take action action with or without leaders!  We, as Americans, can stand up, rise up, and take back our country! Thank God for those who dared to go into the enemy camp and record the undercover videos exposing abortion providers negotiating for the sale of babies’ body parts. Bravo to those heroes! May God grant that this is the first step to bring an end to this atrocity!

I saw a private citizen standing guard with his weapon in front of a recruiting station in Ohio. Doing what he can, since our government won’t.

A well known news celebrity with influence started a petition to stop illegal immigrant felons from going through the revolving door of deportation, and in this particular case, murdering a young woman taking a walk with her Dad in San Francisco. That will likely become a law. Thank God!

Thousands gathered in New York City yesterday to protest the deal with Iran. Go America! We see private citizens waking up, ready to be bold and defend the honor of our beloved homeland.

Let us volunteer to run toward the giant of socialism or Islam, or whatever name the devil is using at the time, and with God’s help, take him down!

Is there not a cause?

Where do you stand?

The writer of Hebrews asks, “How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?” Heb 2:3

Our country and our world is reeling with uncertainty. Men’s hearts are failing them for fear. Trouble is on every side.

Many don’t know who to trust anymore. Remember the day when Americans felt that, by and large, we could trust our political leaders to do what was right? Well, maybe that was naive, even then, but now the darkness has been brought to light and where do we stand? We stand on shaky ground, for sure, unless we stand upon the Rock, Christ Jesus.

Teen boy stands on a rock among turbulent ocean seas and fast flowing water at sunrise. Worship praise zest adenture solitude finding peace among lifes turbulent times. Overcoming adversity. Motion in water

It seems that the days are racing toward more and more confusion. Those who do not acknowledge The Righteous One do evil and call it good. “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Isaiah 5:20.

Violence and moral decay has come in like a flood. Our children don’t get the chance to experience the joy and purity of childhood. They are inundated with the evils of this world all around them.

It seems that even those who should know better barely acknowledge the existence of their Creator. Why do people think of God as some far off, impersonal being, and even worse, have the foolish audacity to think that they can choose to believe or not. Ha! In the end, all believe!

But, believing is not the be all and end all. You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. James 2:19
It’s not about saying that you believe, it’s about giving your life over to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. There is no other name given among men whereby we must be saved. That’s just how it is. The proud in heart cannot receive this truth.

The time is now. The Spirit of God is calling. Do you hear His voice? Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts. Hebrews 3:8

I pray that if you are reading this, and you are away from God, that you will open your heart, simply yield to His Spirit and ask Him to forgive your rebellion and become your Lord.

If you do this, sincerely, your future is secured and no matter what comes your way, you can have the assurance that it is well with your soul, because you stand upon the Rock!

“Do not tremble and do not be afraid; Have I not long since announced it to you and declared it? And you are My witnesses. Is there any God besides Me, Or is there any other Rock? I know of none.” Isaiah 44:8

The Battle For America

bigstock-American-Flag-And-Monuments-37491934

Back in the 1980’s…

I was just going about my business, when suddenly the Lord dropped on me what I called a “prayer burden”. I subsequently had encounters in the Spirit that were the most profound of my life. I was drawn into prayer and He taught me how to wait on Him, until He prayed through me. This was all new to me and I was like a little child, learning to obey. One of the things at that time that I was stirred to pray for was for the church to repent of it’s complacency. That’s a whole different topic, but not for this post.

The other thing on my heart at the time was to pray for the United States of America. Many things have taken place in my life since then, but still there is the call to pray for this nation. We have just returned from a 2 week trip to Israel. We went there to set our feet on the ground and pray for Israel and for their election. Thank God for the miracle outcome! After the election, I was praying at the Wailing Wall for family, for friends, for my husband and I and our future in the Lord’s purposes, and for our Israel. Then as I laid my hands on the wall and began to pray for America, the tears came, and the burden was there. The tears are not those of acceptance of “all is lost” but of intercession. There is hope, because there is God.

This afternoon as I went to have some time with the Lord. I had no agenda. But, I waited, and after a while, the anointing came to pray for America, once again.

The fight is the age old one…between good and evil, between the Lord and His enemy, the deceiver. The enemy who fell from heaven like lightening, still wants the worship that belongs only to the Lord God. So, he has turned many to a belief in a false prophet and called himself by a name they think is their god.

The battle for America is because the enemy of The Lord God Almighty wants to destroy this nation that the Lord raised up to be a beacon of hope and of freedom. America wears the name of Christ like no other. She was Providentially founded on the bible, on Judeo-Christian principles, for the Divine purposes of God.

Without going into all the details of my prayer, I just want to share this one part… I began to pray for the Father to send the Heavenly host of angels, and Michael, the Archangel, to fight for this nation. Even as when Daniel prayed, Gabriel came to him and told him that he had been detained until Michael was sent to fight against the prince of Persia. Read about that in Daniel chapter 10. I could see the hosts of angels being led by Michael, the Chief Prince, to do battle for the very soul of our beloved America. It’s not a movie. This is real.

After my prayer time, followed by a short snooze, I opened my computer and was led to a Facebook page, hosted by my friend Joanne Bush. https://www.facebook.com/groups/pray4keeps/ I haven’t had much time to visit her page recently, but as I looked around, I came across the following prophecy by someone I do not know. I was so encouraged, and you will understand why when you read it. God gives confirmation to His people.

Why does God work through His people as we pray? Why is this His way of acting in behalf of those He loves? We could give our answers, but suffice it to say, that’s just how it is. That is His system. So, our part is to get on board. I know there are many that are called to pray for America, to stand in the gap, to believe that nothing is impossible with God. If He calls us to pray, then He calls us to believe. When you pray, believe.

As I said to Him today, “All power and authority belongs to You, O Lord. You can do all things. After all, heaven is Your throne and the earth is Your footstool.” Isaiah 66:1

Urgent Prayer Needed

'The question of Israel's upcoming election: Who will lead the country and keep us safe? The Likud under my leadership, which will stand firm against international pressure, or a submissive leftist government headed by Tzipi Livni and Isaac Herzog. ==SHARE=='

The big question of Israel’s upcoming election is: Who will lead the country and keep Israel safe? Will it be the Likud under Netanyahu, which will stand firm against international pressure, or a submissive leftist government headed by Tzipi Livni and Isaac Herzog?

This is my personal plea to all who will join with me to earnestly pray for the Israeli election coming up on March 17th. There has been unsettling prophecy that Netanyahu will lose the election, being defeated by the liberal left candidate, who will be weak on security, sign a “peace treaty” and play along with Obama’s game to allow Iran to continue toward the development of a nuclear weapon.

I’m sure you’ve heard by now that there are “scores of former senior Obama election campaign staffers now in Israel working on the anti-Netanyahu effort.” They are doing their best to defeat him using media, going door to door, talking to people on the streets, etc. etc. All the while Obama says he doesn’t want to acknowledge Netanyahu’s upcoming visit to America because he doesn’t want it to seem as if he is getting involved with Israel’s elections. Read more here. Obviously, what happens in Israel affects us, as well.

These are serious times in our nation and in our world. The light has grown very dim in our shining city set on a hill. Our country has not acknowledged the Lord God in our land for many years. Our Judeo-Christian foundations have been purposefully eroded, and along with them, our peace and freedom are threatened.

I feel the heart of God grieved that this land He providentially founded for His Divine purposes has gone so far from Him and the good that He intends for us. Scripture says… “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.” Ezekiel 22:30 and again… “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.” 2 Chronicles 16:9

What Must We Do?

We have to appeal to The One who has the power to help us in our time of need. We find ourselves with no advocate in the highest office in our land at this time. However, we are offered access to the Great Advocate. The price of being represented in this Highest Court is already paid with Precious blood. But, to be eligible for this Divine representation, we must “come clean”, acknowledge the truth of our sin, (simply living our lives apart from Him) and receive this free gift of God. Once we choose to do this of our own free will, then we are not our own. We are bought with a price, and we live accordingly.

Is there any hope?

As we know, prayer can alter events, and defeat the enemy’s plans. We must humble ourselves and pray for God to forgive us and our nation for turning from away from Him, and for allowing the ungodly to rule in our land. Pray for true and lasting repentance to come to our nation. Pray for God’s mercy instead of judgement, and pray for our ally, Israel. I am praying for the winds of change in israel to be reversed and to blow back against Netanyahu’s (Israel’s) enemies.

I pray that the rising political tide would turn and flood the enemies of God and His servants. “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.” Is.54:17

Go Down to The Potter’s House (See Jeremiah 18) and know that when the Lord is speaking to Israel in this passage, you can also add America, or any other nation.

To the shores of Tripoli…to fight the Muslims!

America’s First Foreign War:

Tripoli

From Wikipedia: “The war was fought because U.S. President Thomas Jefferson refused to pay the high tributes demanded by the Barbary states…(the Muslims) and because they were seizing American merchant ships and enslaving the crews for high ransoms. It was the first military conflict authorized by Congress that the United States fought on foreign land and seas.”

Do you know why the United States Department Of The Navy was formed in 1798?

“The continuing demand for tribute ultimately led to the formation of the United States Department of the Navy, founded in 1798 to prevent further attacks upon American shipping and to end the extremely large demands for tribute from the Barbary States.

In March 1785, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams went to London to negotiate with Tripoli’s envoy, Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdrahaman (or Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja). When they enquired “concerning the ground of the pretensions to make war upon nations who had done them no injury”, the ambassador replied:

It was written in their Koran, that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave; and that every mussulman who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to paradise.”

We have been fighting this enemy from the beginning of our nation…and before, but that’s another story.

For All The Troubled Hearts

Happy New Year

On this New Years Eve 2014, I have felt the Father’s heart longing to reach out to His children, as well as to those who don’t yet know Him.

This is what I hear in a song:

“For all the troubled hearts, For all the troubled hearts, For all the troubled hearts, here’s what I say to you:

Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God. Believe in Me.

My peace I give to you. To you, I give My peace.

In My Father’s house, there’s plenty room for you.

I’m preparing a place, where you will see Me face to face.”

That place is available, even now, as we take the time to come into His presence and be still before Him. You will be amazed as you sit quietly and wait. Just wait. Still your hearts, your mind. Think only on Him. Just Him. Wait for the Spirit before you utter a single word. This is communion with God.

As Jesus longed to gather Jerusalem’s children as a hen gathers her chicks, so He still reaches out His arms of love and comfort to whosoever will.

I also hear the Lord saying that in this coming year of 2015, we as His people are to take control of our circumstances with the weapons of our warfare. One of those is praise. As King Jehoshaphat sent forth the praisers into the battle, let us do the same. Praise the Lord in the beauty of His holiness.

“Let My joy rise up in you even as a weapon. Dance before Me with all your might and sing with loud shouts of joy. This is a mighty weapon to defeat your enemies.”

Let’s make 2015 a year of entering in to our inheritance. It’s all paid for! Eat your fill from the table He has so lavishly prepared! Drink of the new wine from His cup. Live life to the fullest as we continue this great adventure.

He loves us. Oh, how He loves us.

May it be said of us… “Oh, how they love Him!”

Happy New Year , dear ones.

Help, Lord…

Oh, God of heaven, Lord of all the earth, hear the prayers of Your people today. We are a people who are in need of Your great mercy. We have gone so far from You and Your righteousness and we are deserving of Your judgement.

White Lighthouse With Dramatic Storm Clouds

You gave us this nation. You gave us a land of freedom to worship You. But now, the ungoldy rule in our government, in our culture, and in the marketplace. We, your people, are like grasshoppers in the sight of the giants of unbelief. You established our nation as a light to the world, and that shining light has become a flicker. Those who hold to Your righteous precepts are being overtaken by the onslaught of the proud and haughty who laugh in the face of the One who created them.

Where is Justice, Oh God? Where is justice for the unborn? Where is justice for the children? Where is justice for the innocent?

The land is filled with ravenous wolves, who, if allowed, would devour the sheep of Your pasture until it was laid bare. The filth of sin and perversion flows like open sewage in the streets.

Honoring Your name is not allowed in our military, yet, when we are attacked, people pretend to pray. To whom do they pray?

Some say they love You, but they don’t even know You. They do not know of Your sorrows, they are not acquainted with Your wounds. They speak Your Holy Name without reverence, in rebellion, and they mock the One who holds their very breath in His hand.

So, Lord, we cry out to You, our Hope, our Joy, our Life. Forgive Your people, Lord, for our sins. Forgive the indifference of Your church toward those that are currently on the road to everlasting destruction. Forgive us, Your people, for neglecting to honor You in our ways.

Many houses of worship are cold with no fire of God. No repentance, no brokenness for our sins and for a dying world. Your word speaks of those that have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof. The saints are in a dangerous place, for the more they allow their hearts to be repeatedly exposed to this form of religion, the colder they grow.

It seems that in our day, some people gather in the sanctuary to see and be seen, to be honored themselves. They forget Your admonition to sit at the foot of the table.  (When Jesus noticed that all who had come to the dinner were trying to sit near the head of the table, He gave them this advice:  “If you are invited to a wedding feast, don’t always head for the best seat. What if someone more respected than you has also been invited?  The host will say, ‘Let this person sit here instead.’ Then you will be embarrassed and will have to take whatever seat is left at the foot of the table!  Do this instead — sit at the foot of the table. Then when your host sees you, he will come and say, ‘Friend, we have a better place than this for you!’ Then you will be honored in front of all the other guests. For the proud will be humbled, but the humble will be honored.”)

In our gatherings we sing songs about what God can do for us. Songs that have no convicting power, no anointing to break the stony heart. We think worship is singing the same words over and over and making a certain sound on the instruments. Ha! I have heard a bird’s song with more anointing.

We preach about how great we can become, as if the God of heaven were created for us, instead of us acknowledging Your awesomeness. In some circles, You have been reduced to some effeminate, earthly type father, who runs around playing silly games and speaking silly things to delusional minds. It’s like being in the land of magic, with fairies and sparkles all around. Where is the Great God Jehovah?

When do we take the time to be silent before You? And wait. Wait. Wait. Upon YOU. Wait for Your Spirit. How many leaders actually step back and wait long enough for God to touch His people? How many lead by example through humility? Sadly, it seems, many think of themselves as celebrities, although most are not well known. How many put aside their clever sermons to say nothing in Your Presence unless it is the Spirit speaking?

Is the New Testament pattern old now? Are the gifts of the Spirit outdated? There is no time, and no anointing for the word of prophecy, especially from the layman. Lord, I thought the saints were supposed to be trained to do the work of the ministry. Those that lead are responsible for the condition of the flock. Are their leaders training them to grow up, get up and get out of the house and take the gospel into all the world, or are they more concerned about keeping them in the house for their own purposes?

Oh, how selfish and ungrateful we are! We want, want, want. We have forgotten to be content with what we have. The world allures us to have more of what is passing away. We are, it seems, an “All About Me” generation of believers. Many believers in this nation have no idea what it is like to do without. We are rich and increased with goods and have no need of anything. We need a fresh baptism of love for our Savior, of humility and of  gratitude. You said, “Don’t rejoice that devils are subject to you, but that your names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”

Oh, Lord, do not let us go down in history as the self righteous generation  who ‘seeing did not see and hearing did not hear.’ We need You, Lord, more than ever before.

“Lord, I have heard of Your fame. I stand in awe of Your deeds, O Lord. Renew them in our day. In our time,  make them known.                                  In wrath,  remember mercy.” Habakkuk 3:2

I Saw Jesus

In 1978, I was sitting in a little church in Gulfport, Mississippi having just had communion. Clay McClean was playing piano and singing the hymn “Fairest Lord Jesus”.

The song faded into the background and suddenly I was IN a vision. At the time, I didn’t know there was such a thing as a vision. I was just sitting there listening to the song, when suddenly I was IN a vision. I wasn’t looking at something, like watching a movie. I was in a different place.

I saw Jesus!

There he was, standing right in front of me. I couldn’t see His facial features because shining out from Him were bright rays of light that I recognized as LOVE. He communicated with me from His heart to mine and assured me of His great love for me without speaking.

Then, He spoke and said, “They, (meaning His people) don’t know how much I love them and I’ve done all that I can do to show them. Greater love hath no man than this: that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13

This Jesus that I was looking at and who was speaking to me of His love for me and for His people and the world, is Lord of all the earth and Creator of all!  “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.” Col 1:15,16

I saw Him as the Majestic King of Glory, Ruler of all, Son of God and Son of Man!

At the very same time, and equal to His majesty, power and authority, was the greatness of His humility! It goes beyond description. I know that it sounds strange to talk about His humility in this way, but it was so beautiful that I have to tell about it when I tell of this vision.

It was not just that He is humble, but that He is humility itself. The word is full of Scripture that refer to Him humbling Himself. “He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.” Phil 2:8

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Phil 2:9-11

This humility is the secret to being great in the Kingdom of God. “Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Mt 8:4

Listen to Andrew Murray as he instructs us…

“Just as water ever seeks and fills the lowest place, so the moment God finds the creature abased and empty, His glory and power flow in to exalt and to bless. He that humbleth himself—that must be our one care—shall be exalted; that is God’s care; by His mighty power and in His great love He will do it.

Men sometimes speak as if humility and meekness would rob us of what is noble and bold and manlike. Oh, that all would believe that this is the nobility of the kingdom of heaven, that this is the royal spirit that the King of heaven displayed, that this is Godlike, to humble oneself, to become the servant of all! This is the path to the gladness and the glory of Christ’s presence ever in us, His power ever resting on us.

Jesus, the meek and lowly One, calls us to learn of Him the path to God. Let us study the words we have been reading, until our heart is filled with the thought: My one need is humility. And let us believe that what He shows, He gives, what He is, He imparts. As the meek and lowly One, He will come in and dwell in the longing heart.”

This experience, very early in my Christian life, is still fresh to me. I am forever grateful to Jesus, the One who sought me out and showed me the greatest love of all.

If you don’t know this Jesus, the One who gave His life for you, all that is needed, is that you humble yourself, pray, and give Him your heart and life. He is real. He will come to you in unexpected ways, maybe in a vision, maybe not. But, when you are born of the Spirit, there will be no doubt that a change has come.

Let me know if I can help you or pray for you.

By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, But by the mouth of the wicked it is torn down. Proverbs 11:11

Father, I speak a blessing over the United States of America.

I bless this nation with a hunger and a thirst for righteousness. I pray that Americans who love this nation and value the freedom and the blessings that You, oh Lord God, have so richly bestowed on us, would rise up and speak up and take back what the enemy has stolen. I bless this nation with a heart of repentance, a longing to return to the ancient paths of Your wisdom, a desire to breathe the fresh, clean air of Your holiness.

I pray that You would so pour out of Your Spirit on the people of this land that they would begin to desire Your word. They will say to themselves, “I want to read the bible. I am tired of ungodliness, tired of lust, tired of violence. I am weary of living life with no eternal purpose. I want to know Truth, I want to know God. I will not allow my country to be destroyed from within by the forces of evil.”

They will say, “I volunteer freely and raise my hand to You, Lord, to fight against the enemy of the soul of our nation, to be Your instrument of prayer. I will get on my knees every day and pray for this nation and believe that nothing is too hard for You, our miraculous God.”

But, Father, may we all be aware that faith without works is dead. Everyone who wants to see this change must be ready to stand strong for what they know is right. They must speak with boldness and go into every sphere of life with confidence. When injustice presents itself, I pray that we will unify, rally together and cry out for justice.

Lord, give America a new heart and put a new spirit within her. Remove her stony heart , and give her a heart of flesh. Put Your Spirit in us and move us to follow Your decrees and keep Your law.

Give us leaders after Your own heart that will lead us with knowledge and understanding, with great strength, but with great humility.

Father, I pray this not for our sakes, but for the sake of Your holy name which we have profaned among the nations.

Forgive us, oh Lord, and revive us once again.
