The writer of Hebrews asks, “How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?” Heb 2:3
Our country and our world is reeling with uncertainty. Men’s hearts are failing them for fear. Trouble is on every side.
Many don’t know who to trust anymore. Remember the day when Americans felt that, by and large, we could trust our political leaders to do what was right? Well, maybe that was naive, even then, but now the darkness has been brought to light and where do we stand? We stand on shaky ground, for sure, unless we stand upon the Rock, Christ Jesus.
It seems that the days are racing toward more and more confusion. Those who do not acknowledge The Righteous One do evil and call it good. “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Isaiah 5:20.
Violence and moral decay has come in like a flood. Our children don’t get the chance to experience the joy and purity of childhood. They are inundated with the evils of this world all around them.
It seems that even those who should know better barely acknowledge the existence of their Creator. Why do people think of God as some far off, impersonal being, and even worse, have the foolish audacity to think that they can choose to believe or not. Ha! In the end, all believe!
But, believing is not the be all and end all. You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. James 2:19
It’s not about saying that you believe, it’s about giving your life over to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. There is no other name given among men whereby we must be saved. That’s just how it is. The proud in heart cannot receive this truth.
The time is now. The Spirit of God is calling. Do you hear His voice? Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts. Hebrews 3:8
I pray that if you are reading this, and you are away from God, that you will open your heart, simply yield to His Spirit and ask Him to forgive your rebellion and become your Lord.
If you do this, sincerely, your future is secured and no matter what comes your way, you can have the assurance that it is well with your soul, because you stand upon the Rock!
As always, when I read your posts, I sense the pleasure of our Lord, the oil of the Holy Spirit riding upon the words He gave you to share AND the steadfast, load bearing truth of those things you share. I appreciate your heavy leaning upon Scripture and am always lifted by your sharing of them. Thank you for your labor to “hear and declare” God’s Word. So proud of you!

Well, Judy Pink, before I could respond to Michael’s last post on Chicago, you come out with one equally challenging. I have been reflecting on both of them. The scripture I wanted to share on both of them is:
Psalm 112:7-8 The righteous will be remembered forever.
7 He will not fear evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
8 His heart is upheld, he will not fear, Until he looks [with satisfaction] on his adversaries.
It has been of great concern to me, as it seems to be to you as well, the fear among God’s people with so little effort made to push in closer to the Father…yet, I am continually reminded that God reminded Elijah that He still had 7,000 who had not bowed their knee to Baal. I believe the circle we find ourselves in is more closed than we realize, causing us to wonder if anyone else can see or know what we have also perceived.
I am encouraged by the fact that God has set us up to win…and that when it seems like we are alone, others respond at a time when we need the encouragement.
I sincerely believe that God is in the midst of all that is happening and is active in our “pursuit of Him.”
It is your active prayer and seeking that is a continual incubating with eventual birthing of God’s purposes. I pray that encourages you as you find yourself more and more in the shadows of the night seeking His Face. Do not be surprised when He shows you His Hand as well. Blessings and Peace to you, dear sister.

Joanne, my dear sister, you are such a blessing to me! I love the gift that God has given to you to declare His truths. There is truly a famine of knowledge of God’s word. I have been saying to Michael for a few years that I feel that I am being more and more pressed into the narrow way, therefore, what I have to say will not be received by very many. But, as you know, it is to Him that we must give an account. So, it is a great encouragement, as you say, to know that we are not alone. What a joy to know that there is a Joanne Bush in the trenches with me!!
